A Cherry Worktop That Ages Beautifully
Cherry is a wood that rewards patience — starting in lighter tones, it deepens to a rich, reddish-brown as it ages. The end-grain surface is gentle on knives and naturally “self-healing,” as fibers close after each cut. Its 3/8″ beveled edges soften the look and feel, balancing strength with elegance.

Maintenance & Care
To ensure your Le Rustica remains as stunning as the day it arrives, follow a regular care routine. Cherry wood is durable but benefits from conditioning and gentle cleaning.
- Monthly conditioning: Apply Boos Mystery Oil to penetrate deeply, followed by Boos Block Cream to lock in moisture and provide a beeswax barrier.
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth after use. Mild soap may be used occasionally. Avoid soaking, harsh chemicals, or dishwashers.
- Patina development: Cherry naturally darkens with time — a valued trait in fine furniture.
Shipping & Lead Time
Each John Boos piece is made to order. Please allow 5–8 weeks for production and delivery.
- Freight shipping: Due to size and weight, delivery is made by truck.
- Threshold delivery: Includes drop-off at the nearest accessible point (garage, porch, or entryway).
- Customer preparation: Because freight carriers do not bring items inside, plan to have help ready at delivery.
