The walnut top is sealed with Varnique, a durable, semi-gloss finish that simplifies upkeep. Do not oil or wax Varnique surfaces—conditioning products are only for oil-finished wood.

• Daily clean: wipe with a soft, damp cloth; use mild soap as needed.
• No oiling needed: avoid Mystery Oil or Board Cream; they won’t penetrate sealed Varnique.
• Protect the finish: don’t cut directly on the top—use a separate cutting board.

Shipping & Lead Time

Each John Boos piece is made to order. Please allow 3weeks for delivery. Ships knocked down in one carton via UPS (or freight for heavier orders). Simple assembly: attach legs & shelves; drawer on “with drawer” models comes pre-fit.
